The next round of learning and teaching award applications will open shortly. These awards and citations recognise the importance of learning and teaching for both undergraduate and postgraduate students within the framework of learning.futures and the UTS model of global practice-oriented education —and importantly celebrate the amazing work being done across UTS by learning and teaching staff. Teaching teams and individual teachers, including early career and casual academics, are all eligible to apply. UTS Learning and Teaching Citations ($1,000) are awarded for significant and sustained contributions to student learning, student engagement and/or the student experience by individuals or teams.
Join us for a Q&A with the award recipients to hear about their projects and share their tips for developing a successful application.
On the panel you’ll hear from:
- Dr Job Fransen, Faculty of Health, Early Career Teaching Award recipient
For improving learning through self-discovery.
- Raechel Wight, UTS Business School, Teaching by a Casual or Sessional Staff Member Award recipient
For continuous creative resource development and leading a community of practice.
- Dr Megan Heyward and Dr Natalie Krikowa, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Integration of Indigenous Professional Capabilities into Curriculum Award recipient
For empowering Bachelor of Communication (Digital and Social Media) students to understand and apply Indigenous principles and protocols in a professional context.
