Get your subject materials in order
- Reading Lists are used to manage required and recommended readings for your subject. If your subject has used a Reading List before, it will automatically roll over and connect to your canvas subject site 4 weeks before the start of session.
- Discipline-specific study guides or assignment guides can be embedded into Canvas to provide your students with direct links to the most relevant resources and referencing information.
- You can request information literacy training for your subject to be delivered in-person or online.
- Copyright advice is available for using copyright content in your teaching materials.
- Have a consultation with a librarian for personalised assistance with teaching or research needs.
Connect your students to tailored support
- Refer your students to services that will support their studies and take the pressure off you.
- The Student Learning Hub provides workshops, skills training, and general help and advice with being a student at UTS.
- UTS Study Groups connect students to peers from their Faculty together with an experienced Guide. They’ll receive tailored advice when an issue arises and engage with skills training and study support activities.
- The Supporting study portal is the go-to for support options, study resources and fun stuff for students to stay up to date with what’s on during session.
- Let students know about the Library chat service for quick access to support.
Read and Publish agreements to support Open Access publishing
UTS Library is continuing support for Read & Publish agreements, which enable UTS staff and HDR students to publish Open Access in select journal titles without paying an article processing charge (subject to meeting all conditions).
In 2023, the agreements available to UTS researchers include those with the following publishers:
- Springer Nature
- Wiley
- Company of Biologists (Development, Journal of Cell Science, Journal of Experimental Biology)
For further information including links to lists of included titles and details on conditions, please see Open Access Publishing on the Library website.
