This week we formally celebrated the important contribution of our learning and teaching community at the Vice-Chancellor’s Learning and Teaching Awards.
The event recognised the 2019 UTS Learning and Teaching Awards and Citations recipients, with 30 staff from across the university acknowledged for their innovative teaching and for creating the best possible learning experiences for UTS students.
To align with our campus reactivation principles, and for the first time ever, the ceremony was run as a hybrid event. Award and citation recipients joined Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Attila Brungs, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education and Students) Professor Shirley Alexander, Faculty Deans and Associate Deans (Teaching and Learning) in the Great Hall for a socially distanced in-person event, while family, friends and colleagues joined the ceremony via a livestream.
We also recognised our National Citations for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning recipients, and wrapped up the afternoon with a keynote address from the Faculty of Transdisciplinary Innovation’s Professor Bem Le Hunte.
