It's a wrap on the 2019 UTS Teaching and Learning Forum - LX at UTS

And that’s a wrap on the 2019 UTS Teaching and Learning Forum! What an exciting day it was with the community coming together to share ideas and projects via creative poster presentations and engaging paper presentations.

I loved the feeling of community. Plus, presenting allows me to demonstrate how my teaching and learning development is part of my role KPIs.

The day gave me a great insight into how to make my teaching strategy more productive and effective.

We kicked-off the forum with a keynote from Professor Shirley Alexander entitled ‘Future forms of learning in higher education: What might they be?’. She provided many insights into who our learners are, where they come from, and what they want and need.

Special guest, Dr David Kellermann from UNSW, then joined us in the afternoon to explore ‘Humanistic AI for Higher Education’. He introduced his learning and teaching practice in Microsoft Teams, which he showed to be more than just a shared workspace for you and your students. In the right hands, it can be a place to build a community of learning.

And lastly, what better way to close the forum, than by announcing our 2019 UTS Learning and Teaching Award and Citation winners! Congratulations to all our recipients! You can check out the full list in our blog post.
