Attendance done Qwickly - LX at UTS

Need an easy solution to track student attendance either online or on campus?

The Qwickly attendance tool could be the answer for you. It was previously available in UTSOnline (Blackboard), now it’s back and available today in Canvas.

What is Qwickly attendance?

Qwickly Attendance is a tool integrated into Canvas that can record your student attendance either manually or through student self check in. It’s quite similar to Canvas Rollcall, however Qwickly provides some additional options such as custom statuses, self-check-in for students and a more flexible integration with the gradebook.

What Features are available in Qwickly?

Qwickly offers customisable attendance statuses and the choice of recording attendance manually or through student self-check-in, a real time-saver when teaching large classes.

How to set up Qwickly attendance in your subject?

If you want to get started, visit the Qwickly resource collection that provides all the instructions you will need to set up Qwickly attendance in your subject site. It will also cover how you can take attendance and view student attendance reports.

It’s now Week 2 of Autumn session, so you may want to manually add week 1 attendance into Qwickly as explained in the resource page Manage attendance records in Qwickly

How can my students use the tool?

If your subject coordinator has enabled Qwickly within the subject, student facing resources are available to assist students to view their attendance record and self-check-in to a class.

Need further instructions?

The LX.lab has also developed a series of quick video guides covering all the essential information you need to know when using Qwickly attendance. Check out our playlist for Subject Coordinators and tutors.
