Have your say: reimagining Subject Outlines - LX at UTS

There is a large transformation program currently underway called the Curriculum Management Modernisation Program (CMM). CMM will replace some of our older systems (CIS and OCAP) that we use to manage and publish curricula.

As part of this system replacement, UTS has a rare and valuable opportunity to reimagine the Subject Outline and consider how best to communicate information about subjects to students. The project team is gathering insights from academics and students across UTS and beyond.

Subject Outlines are created in one of the systems that are being decommissioned. We plan to take a fresh and contemporary approach to Subject Outline development – what it looks like, what content is included, how that content is presented, and how students access the information.

How your views can shape the Subject Outlines

This is a wonderful opportunity for you to contribute to the change and improve a key part of the student experience at UTS. We have developed a short survey that poses the following questions:

  • What challenges have you faced in relation to subject outlines?
  • What is the best location for information typically included in a subject outline?
  • What information should be included in subject outlines two weeks prior to session?

Feedback received will directly inform the decisions we make about Subject Outlines and inform other aspects of the CMM project.

Have your say on this Microsoft Form – we value your feedback and look forward to hearing from you!
