The LX Transformation (LXT) has been an ever-increasing topic of conversation around the university.
The LX Transformation seems pretty simple! It’s just moving our subjects from Blackboard to Canvas, right? Not really!
The LX Transformation is more than a simple lift and shift: it is an opportunity to enhance the student experience by creating greater consistency across subjects in a course.
So what is happening and when? We’ve got answers!
The LXT site ‘lxtransformation.uts.edu.au’ provides up-to-date information. In a commitment to support staff with helpful and open communication, this LXT website has been given what some might call a facelift. After all, with the opening of Building 2 providing uplift in the physical spaces of UTS, why don’t we refresh and recreate some of our digital spaces?
As of the first week of August, all information around the LX Transformation, timelines for the program and FAQs have been updated so that the LXT team can confidently provide all members of the Learning and Teaching community with current and essential information on the program.
So, what can I learn from this?
This SharePoint space provides initial information around the LX Transformation, such as what the LX Transformation consists of, how we plan to roll it out over a three year period and the reasons why our digital learning ecosystem is transforming. It also provides a more detailed look into what is transforming as part of the Digital Aspects and the Whole of Course approach that is now being undertaken by faculties.
If you want to get involved, the new LXT website also offers direct links to all LXT events hosted by the LX.lab as well as an FAQ to answer all things LXT.
On top of all this, the LXT website also hosts a variety of resources such as fact sheets, timelines and roadmaps that document the implementation of this learning experience transformation.
