LXT Ask That: Whole of Course with Associate Professor Jacqui McManus - LX at UTS

The LX Transformation (LXT) is underway at UTS, with some faculties already having begun the Whole of Course engagement process to look at how we enhance the student experience ahead of the transition to Canvas for postgraduate courses in Autumn 2020. If you haven’t yet heard about the LX Transformation, find more information about one of our biggest learning and teaching programs here.

Rather than a ‘lift and shift’, we’re using our move to Canvas as an opportunity to take a course-led approach and strengthen consistency across our courses.

This Whole of Course engagement process needs to happen before the move of subjects from Blackboard to Canvas in order to ensure consistency, and allow each course the opportunity to come together. This process involves bringing course teams together in course team meet-ups to facilitate this collaboration and increase the connection of subjects across a course to deliver the best version of a course on Canvas.

LXT Ask That

To shed some light on the whole of course process, we asked our Program Course Curriculum Lead for the LX Transformation Program, Jacqui McManus to answer some of your questions.
